1965 Mercury Comet Cyclone ….factory 289 4 speed, manual steering and brakes. Cyclone is white with red interior. This car has a 6 digit special order DSO….for the reason it has a VERY RARE factory proto-type fiberglass hood….the hood looks like a 66/67 but it is for a 65….these were made in 65 to get the publics response on the hood to use it on the 66 production year…only a hand full of these hoods were made and most of them were installed on exhibition cars that the public would see. These hoods alone sell for over $1000 when they are ever available, which rarely EVER.….and they are not and NEVER will be reproduced. Car has only been threw three owners. The following is either new or nos on the car….radiator, all brakes front and rear, all brake lines, all suspension front and rear…upper and lower control arms, springs, rear leafs, shocks, steering components, tie rods, etc., new fuel line front to rear, redone gas tank, 3" drive shaft, rebuilt t-10 4 speed with all NOS gears, flywheel, hipo clutch, 9" rear with 3:50 auburn posi, complete nos interior….seat covers, carpet, arm rests, window cranks, handles, door panels (these are $750 alone, and are Beautiful)…….all that was over a $8000….just add it up….essential everything on it is either new or redone. The body is very straight…..it was painted back in the 70’s and looks good from about 10 feet but as you come closer you could see the paints age. The bumpers are perfect and the chrome is great on them. All the glass is perfect. The engine was rebuilt back in the 70’s to 289 hipo specs. There is a small rust hole in the drivers side floor…very easy fix and the rest of the floors are really nice and SOLID. Over all the cyclone is VERY SOLID and looks really great. 1965 cyclone are very far and few between…and chances of finding another like this one is VERY RARE. There will be NO DIAPPOINTMENTS with this cyclone. I would like $8500. If your interested you could call me at 973-743-0411 (new jersey) or write at mtsper@aol.com. talk to you soon…thanks
